A lonesome soul
Walking down
The path of eternity
A long journey
But not without partners
Temporary acquaintances
Providing solace to the soul
Eventually
Every single one leaves
Some whose paths
change at a junction
Others
Who decide to walk
A different pace than yours
Overtaking you
Crushing you
Stomping you
You’re left for dead
Yet
The soul transcends
The concept of mortality
For you walk again
Crushed, broken and bruised
Intimidated
At the sight of another soul
Fearful
For history repeats itself
Unaware of your own immortality
You fear everyday
On your eternal walk
Better late than never
I hope you realize it some day.
True story! 👏

A wonderful and touching poem.
The way I relate it is—we might be afraid of competition, social intimacy, or just another soul. The world isn’t a fairytale and being cautious serves us but, to not be intimidated ever all we have to do is see the humanity of the other, it can end in two realisations—he being a lion may have a heart of mouse or he being a lion may have had the journey of one. To see the humanity you have to first be humane. Do correct me if wrong 🙂
