I am

but a guy,

A lone walker

but not without baggage.

I have secrets

hidden away from the world

packed tight in my baggage

no eyes peek on them but mine.

I have a diary

contents of which

might disconcert you

I have thoughts so bold

you wouldn’t imagine

a naive looking guy could hold.

Yet here I am

with the heavy baggage

on my slender soul.

For these memories

so special and dear

fill the gaping hole

ever so present

in my hollow existence.

For they are the only reminder

of this mortal existence

I am glad I have them in my annals

for they hurt me

but ultimately keep me afloat.
