Attraction
Is it just a word
Or is it something else?
Is it the way I walk
or is it the way I talk?
Is it how my feelings are expressed
or is it how being with me you don’t feel suppressed?
Is it really my writing
Or is it just your craving?
Is it how you feel about my being
Or is it just a validation for your own being?
Is it a walk in the meadows, arm in arm
Or is it a fight, doing much harm?
Is it gonna be ever lasting
Or is it just spending away, fading?
The answer to this, I don’t know
May be you
Can enlighten me
For I am blinded by the beam
Of the apparent attraction
A flash in the pan or a lasting supernova
I don’t know.
It is sad and sickening to see so few comments on my blog anymore, and those too only by the people close to me, those who apparently care a bit for this Gem.
Come on people, where’s the good old “community feeling” you guys were harping on about so much, supporting other bloggers and everything? Everyone seems stuck up on their own devices.
I mean, come on, if there’s any particular stuff you want me to write about, I’ll do it. If you want to collaborate with me, I am more than happy to oblige, and guess what, I guess I do poetry as well know so that adds another dimension to what we can do together!
So I hereby invite you guys to suggest topics which I could write on (and of course I’d be writing my own stuff too) and do drop me a mail if you ever need to talk about anything and not just writing. 🙂

I’ve been struggling with miserable stats for the last few posts, so much so that I’ve stopped posting since a few months. And the fact that no-one seems to have noticed that has deflated my ego still further. 🙄😁

I know those are questions without answers because it is probably a combination of all of them. When you get down to an elemental level, we are composed of atoms that share space. If you want more traffic, you can do some of the group challenges out there, which gets you exposure.

It does take time from “serious” writing, but it is still writing practice and it is fun to be part of a writing group 🙂

Attraction can be of different reasons sometimes the same interests or sometimes as magnet is, opposite attracts. It varies from person to person.

The world is moving too fast and busting at the seam with empty interaction! I long for the days where we made time to truly bask in each other via blogs and comments. What a sweet time we had!!!! I can’t control much but I am going to make more of an effort to reach out to others in that way!

Great post. I have been a blogger off and on since 2009. I have my current one three different times and have noticed the following has dropped a lot. Old bloggers have stopped bloging and I miss their comments. There are still a few of the ones from the past that still read and comment. Younger bloggers are too busy, I guess, with life in general to take the time to read other posts. I had around 500 followers the last time I blogged within a year. This time, after nearly two years, I have about 100. My blog has a lot of pages about many different species of plants plus posts about gardening, plants, and the farm, etc. I have received 12,852 views and 1,167 comments (half are my replies). Most of the views, probably 90%, are from the pages on plants. Very, very few comments or likes ever from the pages.
It can get frustrating not to have comments or likes because we do put in an effort. The most important thing is that YOU like what you are doing. Don’t blog for other people, do it for yourself. There are ways to promote your blog on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and so on… I haven’t really done much promoting this time around as before. One thing is for sure, to get more followers and readers, you have to follow and read other peoples posts. I am terrible about that because i spend so much time on my own blog. I follow close to 200 blogs, most of them about gardening, and a lot of them don’t post that much (which is a good thing because I don’t have time to read so many posts).
Just hang in there and keep doing what you like. Taking photos and writing about what you see and think is a good idea. Just be yourself and post about positive things. Be inspirational.
